The KD-PD100 is a hide-away design and unlike other solutions, which offers a connector cable in the vehicle's glove box, JVC's offering can be installed anywhere in the vehicle [under a seat, in the glove box or behind the dash.] A single cable connects the adapter to a compatible JVC J-Link head unit, while a second cable connects the adapter to the iPod™ through the iPod™ dock connector.
